This engagement session started out with the happy couple apologizing in advance because they were sure they would be hard to photograph. The bride-to-be was so nervous about being photographed she even had a pre-shoot beverage to calm her nerves. As you can see, they couldn’t have been more wrong about themselves or how this session would go.
Colin and Jenny are a beautiful couple both inside and out, and they made my job look easy. I couldn’t have asked for a more fun-loving pair to spend the evening with. It was a cold day in Indiana so we planned to be quick about our photo session downtown but when you’re around these two, time flies! We had such a great time walking on the canal and around downtown Indy. As I began to shoot their engagement photos I would occasionally let them see the moments I captured and to their astonishment they loved them, no awkward poses or unflattering smiles, just laughter and love.
The moral of this story is: Have fun. Relax, be present and enjoy each others company. Next time you are practicing your best angle or spending hours on Pinterest searching for the newest trend in photography or the best poses for your body type, remember this: Your beauty shines the brightest when you are truly happy. Colin & Jenny’s engagement session is all the proof you need. The look in their eyes, the smiles on their faces and the non-stop laughter is real… and man do they look good!
